Fiji coaches get positive response in Europe ahead of Rugby World Cup

Flying Fijians assistant coach Shannon Fraser has returned home from a trip where he met players from 16 rugby clubs in Britain, Ireland and France who are eligible to play for Fiji at the World Cup in September and October.

Fraser says he's confident the players Fiji eventually chooses will be available, though he had not spoken to clubs about releasing players because that was an issue for the Fiji Rugby Union and the International Rugby Board.

Fraser says all players spoken to expressed genuine interest in being considered and have indicated they're available for selection.

Among the high profile Fijian players in Europe are Toulouse wing Vilimoni Delasau, Castres centre Seremaia Bai and Llanelli-based Scarlets prop Deacon Manu.
