The third annual Rapa Nui Film Festival has opened on Easter Island.
The festival features 10 acclaimed films from the Spanish-language cinematic world.
Among the competitors will be several of the year's most acclaimed films from the Chilean cinema.
The five-day event will also feature workshops, among them one designed to instruct residents of the island on how to get funding for audiovisual projects.
