The territory's women's side had luck, going down to the Hoops 4 Health team, who were also too good for the PNG Southern Highlands team.
In volleyball results, PNG's defending champion men's team beat Torres Strait Island in straight sets while the women's PNG National Capital District team came from a set down to defeat the Australian Defence Organisation.
