New steel prices are expected to be announced in Fiji in the next two weeks.
Fijilive reports the Commerce Commission chairman, Dr Mahendra Reddy, as saying the Commission is currently undertaking an extensive audit of Fletcher Pacific Steel Limited - the sole manufacturer of steel in the country.
He says the new prices will be determined following the full audit.
Dr Reddy told FijiLive news that audit follows a request from Fletcher Pacific Steel Limited asking for increase due to Worldwide increase of steel manufacturing products.
