Sport: Pacific Oceania keep Davis Cup status

Pacific Oceania retained its Davis Cup status for another year after beating Iran 4-1 in their Group II Asia/Oceania tie in Guam.

After winning both singles ties on Friday, Cyril Jacobe and Daniel Llarenas combined to defeat Ashkan Shokoofi and Seyed Akbar Taheri Rahaghi in four sets to wrap up the tie.

Jacobe then fell to Iran's top seed, Shahin Khaledan 6-4, 6-4 in the first reverse singles tie on Sunday before West Nott defeated Rouzbeh Kamran in straight sets.
