Workers at US company Freeport McMoRan's giant gold and copper mine in Indonesia's Papua region have agreed to end a strike that has lasted more than a week.
The announcement follows a meeting between the company and the union representing workers yesterday.
More than 8,000 workers from the company went on strike on July 4 to demand better wages, disrupting more than 90 percent of production.
A company spokeswoman, Sinta Sirait, told the newsagency AFP that an agreement has now been signed with the employees.
But the parties have not yet reached a deal over workers' demands on salary increases.
Union chief, Sudiro, says there will be further negotiations after this and workers are expected to be back at work in a day or two.
The Freeport McMoRan's gold and copper mine in Papua is one of the world's top suppliers of copper.
