US company to donate proceeds from sales in American Samoa to local charities

A US company, Secured Gold and Silver Buyers, will be buying up unwanted gold or silver jewellry in American Samoa today.

CEO Ryan Knott says their company is the largest gold, silver and coin buyer in the United States.

Mr Knott says in just the last 12 months they have secured 100,000 customers and have paid out in excess of 75 million US dollars in the last two years.

He says the company has also arranged to donate a portion of all transactions in the Territory to three local charities.

"They will be able to either pick from the Hope house or the Rotary club of Pagopago or the Coaltion against domestic violence in American Samoa."
