Jarrad Hoeata has been named to make his Test debut and Colin Slade his first international start in the All Blacks team to play Fiji in Dunedin on Friday.
Hoeata will partner Ali Williams in the second row and is joined in the starting fifteen by Highlanders teammates Adam Thomson and Jimmy Cowan for what will be the last test match at Carisbrook.
Richie McCaw captains the team with Dan Carter named on the bench.
