Two Guam residents have been charged with manslaughter and child abuse after allegedly starving their baby daughter to death.

The Pacific Daily News reports the couple have been charged with first-degree manslaughter and third-degree child abuse, and have been held on US$100,000 bail.

Court documents say the 14 month old baby was lighter than when she was born.

The couple have six other children who are in the care of Child Protective Services.
