American Samoa call centre training contract awarded

A California based company owned by a couple from American Samoa has been awarded the contract to set up and operate a call center training facility in the territory.

American Pacific Resources Incorporated award amount is 1.5 million US dollars.

The Acting Chief Procurement Officer, Ivy Taufa'asau, informed American Pacific Resources Incorporated that it had been selected to provide the training facility.

The owners of the company are Michael McDonald, a native of Utulei and his wife Paula Stevenson McDonald, of Pago Pago.

The company is based in Carlsbad, California.

The other two companies which submitted proposals were American Samoa Services Associates Corporations and Lavea'i Social Services.
