Fiji church leader charge with rape

3:14 pm on 5 August 2011

The head of Fiji's All Nations Christian Fellowship church has been charged with one count of indecent assault and two counts of rape.

Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday, and was granted bail.

FBC News reports he's alleged to have raped a member of his church in a massage parlour.

He is to surrender his travel documents, not to change his address without the knowledge of the court and not to interfere with witnesses.

The case will be called on August the 19th for a ruling on whether it'll be transferred to the High Court.
