Hundreds of people are expected to attend the state funeral for the former Governor-General Sir Paul Reeves in Auckland.
The farewell for Sir Paul, who died at the weekend at the age of 78, is being held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell at 11 o'clock this morning.
Sir Paul's cortege will leave the Holy Sepulchre Church in Eden Terrace at half past 9 and will be met by a guard of honour of St Paul's College students at the Auckland Domain.
The Bishop of Auckland, Ross Bay, says Sir Paul, who was also an Archbishop of New Zealand, was a treasure to the church and the turnout at the service will reflect that.
