Samoa rugby team to concentrate on new style

The Manu Samoa coach says the two games against Super 15 outfit, the Western Force, are the final chance to assimilate players into the style they want to use in next month's World Cup.

This weekend's first match at Apia Park Stadium is the final game before Samoa finalises its World Cup squad on Monday and 36 players currently in camp are to be trimmed to 30.

Forwards coach, Tom Coventry, says the two games will be a culmination of an intense process.

"A significant amount of work was done in the Pacific Nations Cup.But we did decide on playing a different style of rugby later on in the piece. So this week we will be introducing some of the boys, who didn't have an involvement in the Australian game, to our patterns. And just adding and trimming some of the things that we liked and disliked about how we played against Australia."
