Another U.S. based airline has been granted approval by the United States Department of Transportation to operate into Samoa and Pacific nations which are signatories to the open skies agreement with the US.
American Eagles Airlines applied and was granted last week a certificate of authority to provide a combination of service to all US foreign aviation partners under various open skies agreements, to transport persons, property and mail.
Under the same certificate of authority, American Eagle has been allowed to serve Samoa, the Cook Islands, New Zealand and Tonga.
The federal agency said it found that granting the certificate of authority is consistent with the public convenience and necessity.
