Sport: PNG to face Ireland in Australian Football League

11:23 am on 25 August 2011

Saturday's Australian Football League international Cup is predicted to be a game of contrasting styles.

Papua New Guinea has won the right to defend their title at Melbourne's MCG after seeing off USA 68-22 in yesterday's semi finals.

AFL Asia Pacific manager, Andrew Cadzow, says PNG will face Ireland who defeated New Zealand 46-13 in the other semi.

"PNG and Ireland will be a really good match up. Both play contrasting styles of footy. Certainly Ireland are a little more structured while PNG run a bit more so it should be a really good final."
