The organisers of the ASP surf tour event in Tahiti have called a fourth lay day as they await even better conditions.
Just one round has been completed in this fifth event on the world tour and media man JJ Jenkins says 2-3 metre swells are expected to arrive tomorrow building to 4-5 metres at the weekend.
"The ironic thing is that the days we called off, the lay days would have been ideal in the last few years. There's a lot of surfers out there who would have dreamed of having those conditions. But the forecast like it is, it's really going to be something to watch. So we're hanging out for that and the surfers, some are anxious, most are excited. So it should be a good show."
