Sport: PNG surrender AFL international Cup

Papua New Guinea has surrended the Associated Football League International Cup after being beaten 53-35 by Ireland in the men's division one final at Melbourne's MCG on Saturday.

Ireland came from four goals down to snatch their second success at the event.

PNG had dominated the first half but were handicapped by missed opportunities in front of goal.

Ireland has also won the first ever women's International Cup.

Fiji won the division two men's final defeating France 62-21.
