Nonu farmers in Samoa attend a workshop to improve returns

Nonu farmers in Samoa have undergone a workshop on how to maximise their returns on their produce.

The Ministry of Agriculture in Samoa has hosted the workshop with the aim of helping farmers to meet demands for nonu.

The General Manager of Pure Pacifika Samoa Limited, Masuisui Junior Pereira, says farmers should use the Ministry's methods to improve their farms.

Pure Pacifika is working with Reef Group and Natural Dairy in New Zealand to secure more nonu juice markets in China.

Masuisui says the company has already secured three shipments for this year and lined up multiple shipments for next year and 2013.

The company plans to have 800,000 litres of nonu juice ready for shipment to China in December.
