The Samoa rugby side says its living comfortably with all the attention its getting and isn't distracted from its build up to its world cup opening game.

Samoa are currently based in Auckland and enjoyed a well supported official welcome on Saturday in Manukau.

Samoa assitant coach Tom Coventry says the build upto their first game against Namibia in Rotura in nine days is on track.

"'Once we head off to Mt Maunganui in a few days time we get down to business. We've had a couple of good training days here. We're still meeting our obligations to the community which is a big part of what Manu Samoa is about. We are the people's team and there's no lack of support so we feel like we want to give as much to the community as we can while we're here in Auckland. So its a big part of our planning with us finding the time to meet with our families and the community."
