While the Pacific Games prepare to conclude today in New Caledonia organisers of future games have been briefed on what to expect.
Wallis and Futuna will host the mini Games in two years time while in four years Papua New Guinea will have the responsibility of the Pacific Games.
The Pacific Games Council Executive Director, Andrew Minogue, says the local organisers have been helpful as they prepare to pass on the baton.
"New Caledonia is putting programme together this week for both of those future committees in charge of future Games. There's a lot to learn. I mean we've got 27 sports here. All sorts of Games operations from media, technology through to transport ,catering and accomodation. There's lots of pieces of the puzzle to pull together and those two organising committees will benefit a lot from getting knowledge from here."
