A huge sense of relief is how former Samoa netballer Catherine Latu has desribed finally making the Siler Ferns.

The 24 year old shooter is one of three new caps in the New Zealand squad for next month's two test series against England.

Latu was ruled ineligible to play for the Silver Ferns at the world champs in July in Singapore, having previously represented Samoa

She has patiently sat out a four year stand down.

"I would have loved to have gone to the world cup and the disappointment I felt after being told I couldn't go is something I never want to feel again. So it doesn't make up for it but it does make all this waiting worth something. So it is a huge relief."
