Samoa start well in first rugby world cup match

In their opening match at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand Samoa have established a commanding lead over Namibia.

At half time in their game in Rotorua Samoa leads 25 nil after scoring three tries, two of them converted and kicking two penalties.

They have lost two key players to injury in the half, while fullback Paul Williams has been sinbinned for a dangerous tackle.

This evening Tonga play their second game.

They meet Canada in Whangarei.
