Sport: Springboks wary of Samoa

10:40 am on 23 September 2011

Rugby World Cup holders South Africa ran in 12 tries in an 87-0 drubbing of Namibia on Thursday,

Following his sides victory the Springboks captain, John Smit, was quick to turn his attentions to the looming threat of Samoa in their final pool match next Friday.

"We certainly knew what the challenge was going to be about even before we got to the World Cup, after their build up into the World Cup. Certainly we'll be aware of the challenge that we have in front of us. After watching the big clash between themselves and Wales we will have to make sure that we're taking another step forward and improving on everything we've done so far."

Samoa and Fiji will go head on Sunday at Eden Park.
