Fiji's national airline Air Pacific has denied allegations that it is trying to stifle employee unions.
This comes as the airline's management faces criticism from unions for allegedly paying for a New York law firm to draft Fiji's Essential National Industries Decree.
Leaked invoices show Air Pacific was billed at an hourly rate of just under one thousand dollars.
Air Pacific has denied that it is intent on imposing new contracts on its employees.
It also insists that its commitment to negotiating in good faith with unions continues since the decree which is widely seen as being anti-union.
The airline says the majority of leaked confidential documents at the heart of an investigation involving a suspended employee have nothing to do with the decree.
