Fiji's national airline will replace its current fleet of aircraft with three new wide-bodied planes, the Airbus A330-200.
Air Pacific's CEO David Pflieger has described the purchase as a significant milestone in the airline's sixty year history.
The planes will operate on flights to Sydney, Auckland, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
They will replace the current fleet of 747 and 767 aircraft.
Mr Pflieger says the new aircraft have significant advantages including lower operating costs and superior cargo capacity.
