Samoa has experienced heavy rain this week, following a prolonged drought.
The severity of the dry weather has led to many rivers and creeks drying up.
An official at the Samoa Water Authority says a series of downpours has started to replenish water supplies.
Earlier this month, Samoa's power supplier had asked people to reduce water consumption because of very low hydro-electricity reservoir levels .
