The head of the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority says the foreign-owned logging company, which has upset some environmental campaigners, has passed all the country's legal hurdles.
Earlier this week, Greenpeace supported the protest of about 200 landowners in West Pomio in New Britain island by slowing down the Rimbunan Hijau company's shipment of what it says are illegally acquired logs.
But the director of the Forest Authority, Kanawi Pouru, says the company went through a number of steps to get approval for its logging activities.
"The procedures that we have, these are legal processes that we have here. If they don't comply then they're not compliant if they submit an application it must comply with all the processes. If they haven't complied the application will be rejected."
Mr Pouru says he will be happy to meet Greenpeace campaigners who are heading to Port Moresby to discuss their concerns.
