The company American West Jets new air service from the United States west coast to American Samoa and will now begin March 2012.
The airline had initially planned to launch flights this month.
CEO Drex Hanson said they have configured their plans to capitalize on the demand not only from the territory but neighboring islands, and the closest metropolitan markets Honolulu, Sydney and Auckland.
Mr Hanson says they will have four Lockheed aircrafts.
American West jets will base its planned service out of San Bernadino International airport, in California.
