American Samoa will end 2011 with their highest ever ranking in international football.

The US territory earned their first ever World Cup qualifying win last month, with a 2-1 triumph over Tonga in Samoa.

That, along with a 1-1 draw against Cook Islands, has seen them jump 18 places to a record high of 186th in the world.

New Zealand are still the highest ranked team in Oceania at 119th in the world.

World and European champions Spain remain unchallenged at the top of the table, followed by the Netherlands, Germany and Uruguay.
