Missing Samoan fishermen found

7:39 am on 21 February 2012

The three fishermen from Samoa who went missing more than two weeks ago have been found.

The cruise ship, Seabourne Odyssey, picked up the group 241 kilometres southwest of American Samoa and will drop them off in Pago Pago this morning.

The men left Samoa in their vessel on February 6th and were due to return the next day.

New Zealand, Samoa's Maritime Unit, the US Coast Guard, and several fishing boats searched for the vessel but the search was called off after more than a week without any sign of the boat.

The condition of the fishermen will not be known until the cruise ship docks later this morning.
