Sport: Koloale FC determined to finish O-League strongly

8:26 am on 3 March 2012

Despite being out of the playoff running, Koloale FC are determined to finish their O-League football campaign on a positive note.

The Solomon Islands champions have leaked 16 goals in four matches and are the only team yet to pick up a point in the group matches.

They're also in a battle to qualify for the next Oceania campaign and trail Western United by six points in the local S-League standings.

Koloale coach Henry Koto says they're determined to finish strongly in front of their local fans, although he expects a fierce challenge today against Vanuatu champs Amicale FC.

"Amicale team is a very good team - they've got a lot of Solomon Islands players playing for Amicale. Tomorrow's game will be a good game and our boys really prepare for this game. The two remaining games will be home games for us and we want to give back credit to all our supporters - and the country as a whole too - to win these two remaining games."
