The police in Samoa are considering charging the associate minister of finance with negligent driving causing the death of a 45 year old man.
The associate minister, Peseta Vaifou Tevaga, was first charged with careless driving causing injuries when the injured man was admitted at the national hospital for medical care in August last year.
Last week the 45 year old died as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.
The Minister was driving a government vehicle at the time of the accident.
The court has recently set a hearing for the careless driving causing injuries charge against the MP for June after the politician had entered a not guilty plea last month.
Mr Tevaga was issued with a warrant of arrest when he did not appear in the second mention of his case but the warrant has been set aside.
