Samoa gets funding from Australia and NZ for financial management project

Samoa's public financial management reform project will receive further monetary assistance from Australia and New Zealand to help improve delivery services to the public.

Through the programme Australia will provide up to 10 million US Dollars and New Zealand up to one million US dollars over two years to the Samoa government.

A joint statement by the donors say it will help implement key public financial management reforms which are set out in the phase 2 of the prgramme and as well as additional macro-economic reforms.

Through this program, Australia will provide up to 24 million US dollars and New Zealand up to 3.5 million US over two years to the Government of Samoa.

The funding is contingent on the Government of Samoa implementing key public financial management reforms.
