Complaints laid about RAMSI actions in Solomons

Dozens of complaints have been made about the Australian-led Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands.

Our correspondent Dorothy Wickham says since 2009 there have been 40 complaints made, mostly of personnel attached to the Australian Federal Police.

She says they range from lack of sensitivity, relationships with Solomon Islands women and interference.

It is understood that during the same time period just ten complaints had been made about AFP personnel working in Afghanistan.
