Samoa's opposition Tautua Samoa party is holding a walkathon today to raise funds for charity.
The first recipient of their fundraising is the home for the elderly, Mapuifagalele, and the Carmelite nuns.
Party whip Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi says the charity walk will become an annual event, raising money for different organisations.
He says rather than political parties asking the community for funds, it is time to give something back to the community.
