The Samoa government will receive more financial assistance from the Chinese government.

An agreement was signed yesterday between Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, and China's visiting minister of Commerce, Chen Deming.

China will give Samoa nearly 5 million US dollars to assist several projects such as the construction of a Marine school at the National University, a primary school and a center for students with disabilities.

It will also cover an agricultural project where several Chinese experts are working to grow rice and onions.

Part of the financial aid will be given to the government for projects not being revealed.
