Tonga reshuffles cabinet

Tonga's government has announced a reshuffle of its Cabinet.

According to Matangi Tonga, the Prime Minister's Office says Lisiate 'Akolo will become the Minister of Finance and National Planning.

Sunia Fili will become the Minister of Police, Prisons and Fire Services and Sosefo Fe'ao Vakata becomes the Minister for Revenue Services.

Lord Vaea will take up two portfolios, Minister for Training, Employment, Youth and Sports in addition to his current one as Minister for Agriculture, Food, Forests and Fisheries.

The former Minister for Training, Employment, Youth and Sports Fe'ao Vakata will take up his new portfolio at Revenue Services.

The new Cabinet appointments take effect on May the first.
