The organisers of the inaugural Pacific Rim Boxing Championship have rescheduled Samoa's hosting duties to coincide with the country's 50th Independence celebration at the end of May .
New Zealand was to host the first leg in April and Samoa the second leg in December.
But the Campionship chairman, Edwin Puni says the change in dates is an acknowledgement of Samoa's contribution to international boxing
The championship will feature six professional bouts.
