Following the success of O Le Tulafale - The Orator - Samoa's growing film industry has produced another movie using the Samoan language.
Silamanino, which has English subtitles, portrays Samoan family values and culture.
It is produced and directed by Eliza Hunt, who has been involved in film production for more than 20 years, starting with Albert Wendt's Flying Fox in a Freedom Tree.
The film has been approved by the Independence organising committee to be part of Samoa's golden jubilee celebrations next month, but it will premier in New Zealand later this month.
A Samoan TV news presenter and a former Miss South Pacific, Verona Lovel Tapu Ah Ching Parker, plays the lead role.
