New Caledonia puts NZ out of Oceania Nations Cup

New Caledonia has put New Zealand out of the Oceania Nations Cup football tournament in Solomon Islands, beating them 2-nil.

At half-time the score was nil-all but Bertrand Kai scored for New Caledonia 60 minutes in and Georges Gope-Fenepej scored the second goal in extra time at the end of the match.

The match was refereed by Robert Hauata before a crowd of 10,000 at Lawson Tama Stadium.

New Caledonia faces Tahiti in the final, preceded by the third/fourth play-off between New Zealand and Solomon Islands.
