The Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands is urging people in Temotu province to make use of direct trade links being established with Vanuatu.
Gordon Darcy Lilo says Vanuatu is a hub for tourism in the Pacific and Temotu can use its strategic location to encourage some spill over to their close by islands.
Mr Lilo was in the province to mark the 29th anniversary of its partial independence last Friday.
