A new airline in Samoa will begin domestic air service between Upolu and Savaii islands on Monday.

It also hopes to begin direct flights from Savaii to American Samoa three months from now.

Samoa Air owner, Chris Langton says the airline will be based for now at Fagalii Airport but he hopes to move operations to Maota Airport in Savaii very soon.

Samoa Air will fly daily from Fagalii to Maota and Asau in Savaii and is introducing their service with a special fare of $100 samoan tala one way to Maota and $190 to Asau.

Langton says in three months they plan to offer two flights per week direct from Savaii to Pago Pago.
