Fiji-born winger Akuila Uate has been left out of the New South Wales squad named for next week's State of Origin series decider in Brisbane.

Blues coach Ricky Stuart named his 19-man squad on Sunday.

Manly second rower Glenn Stuart has been named despite being diagnosed with a medial ligament tear less than a week ago.

Uate was dropped for St George Illawara winger Brett Morris, who will now line up next to his twin brother Josh Morris for the first time in State of Origin.

The series is currently 1-all and New South Wales will have not won a series since 2005.
