A number of Pacific regional bodies have benefitted from half a million dollars in aid funding from Taiwan.
The beneficiaries include the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and the Forum Fisheries Agency.
The Forum's secretary general, Tuiloma Neroni Slade, says the funds will provide support in areas of education and capacity building, regional aviation safety, fisheries, marine and water management, and the Small Island States programmes.
Earlier this year Taiwan gave another half a million dollars to the Forum's Scholarship Scheme.
