The Solomon Islands attorney general, Billy Titiulu, has tendered his resignation.
Mr Titiulu has told the SIBC that he had handed his resignation letter to prime minister Gordon Darcy Lilo yesterday afternoon.
He wouldn't comment on his reasons to resign, but he said his future as attorney general depends on Mr Lilo's response to his letter.
Mr Lilo had reappointed Mr Titiulu as Attorney General in April.
He had previously been appointed by former Prime Minister, Danny Philip.
