Vanuatu allows Indonesian man in despite lacking visa

Reports from Vanuatu say a pastor from Indonesia was allowed to visit despite having no visa.

Border control sources have confirmed to our correspondent that Pastor Jonathan Kuntaraf was let into the country to preach to the local Seventh Day Adventist Church congregation.

He reportedly left the passport with immigration and picked it on departure.

Local SDA mission officials who went to welcome him at the airport showed a copy of a two-month old letter from the Vanuatu UN Mission in New York which was a request for his entry visa.

This is the third time in less than three months that that a foreigner has reportedly entered Vanuatu in defiance of the immigration rules.
