Sport: Eight is great for Fiji's Liku in London

Fijian weightlifter Maria Liku is targeting a top eight finish at the London Olympics.

The 22 year old won gold at last year's Pacific Games in Noumea but has moved up from the 58kg to 63kg class in London.

Fiji's other lifter in London, Manueli Tulo, finished 13th in the men's 56kg class on day three.

Maria Liku's coach, Atma Maharaj, says she still has plenty of growth in her and a top eight finish would be a great result.

"She's really focused and she's had a better preparation in the last couple of months than Manueli Tulo - Tulo had a knee injury in Samoa - Maria is in good health and she's had a much more focused preparation so top eight would be nice."
