Former American Samoa prosecutor in Aurora shooting case

A former prosecutor from American Samoa has been appointed to enforce the rights of victims in the Aurora theatre shooting case.

The 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office in a statement named Lisa Teesch-Maguire as victims' rights specialist and advocate.

Lisa Teesch-Maquire has spent the last year and a half enforcing the Colorado Victims' Rights Act in courts across Colorado.

She resigned more than two years ago as prosecutor in American Samoa after completing a year and a half of her two year contract.

She was the main prosecutor for drug and rape cases.

Her resignation came amid death threats made to her after she successfully prosecuted a high profile drug case and a rape case.
