Marshall Islands runner Haley Nemra posted a season best of 2.14.90 in her heat.

Still on the track and Fijian javelin thrower Leslie Copeland threw a season best of 80.19m, but it wasn't enough to qualify for the final.

In other Pacific results, Guam's freestyle wrestler Maria Dunn was beaten 5-0 in her qualifying match against Russia's Lubov Volosova and Papua New Guinea's Theresa Tona lost her bout in the 49kg taekwando class.
