American Samoa Visitor's Bureau to host Australian travel wholesalers

10:00 am on 28 August 2012

Australian travel wholesalers and journalists will travel to American Samoa next month as part of a familiarisation visit being organised by the American Samoa Visitor's Bureau.

Representatives of three travel wholesales will be in Pago Pago for three days next month to take part in a tour with a local operator, conduct site visits of hotels, and meet industry members.

Prior to the trio's visit, two Australian journalists will tour the main island of Tutuila and experience some of the attractions.

The Visitor's Bureau executive director David Vaeafe says the goal is to sell American Samoa to Australian visitors, who has been targeting other Pacific destinations.
